Jonny Westom bestowed Master of BrandScience Award

BrandStrategy, Inc. Bestows Masters of BrandScience™ Award

It is with great pleasure that we announce our newest Masters of BrandScience Award. Jonny Westom, Executive Director of the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau, USA, joins 60 other remarkable executives from around the world who have received this award.

The Masters of BrandScience designation is presented to leading executives who have advanced the BrandMindset® and BrandPromise® principles within their organization. These executives are dedicated to developing and implementing strategies for their brands that enhance guest experiences.

The Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau launched a new destination strategy and brand that encompasses the tourism industry in Sonoma Valley resulting in strong consumer interest.

The Experience Sonoma Valley destination achieved significant increases in occupancy and ADR in 2016. Their new strategy attracted interest from Visit California, the tourism marketing organization for the State of California, and the national trade organization for tourism, Destination Marketing Association International.

The official destination strategy and rebranding was completed within 12 months of Mr. Westom’s appointment and contributed to his being named as one of the North Bay Business Journal’s 2017 Forty Under 40.
